May 19, 2026: Dr Cheng He was invited as an expert speaker at the "Accurate Metrology, Smart Future" 2026 World Metrology Day Theme Event held by State Grid Hubei Electric Power in Wuhan, China.
The report focused on intelligent large models for power measurement equipment, supporting advanced metrology and smart grid development.
June 6, 2026: Dr Cheng He was invited to give a talk titled "Computational Intelligence-driven Contactless Measurement of Array-type Three-phase Electrical Parameters" at the 2nd Academic Annual Conference of the Electromagnetic Testing Technology and Equipment Committee, China Electrotechnical Society, in Wuhan, China.
The report introduced computational intelligence approaches for non-contact measurement of three-phase electrical parameters using magnetic sensor arrays, addressing key challenges in smart grid metrology.
November 7–9, 2025: The 20th International Conference on Bio-Inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA 2025) was held in Wuhan, China. Dr Cheng He served as co-editor of the conference proceedings, published in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS, volume 3022), Springer.
June 8 - 12, 2025: IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation was hosted in Hangzhou, China.
In this congress, we have hosted the competition to stimulate research in evolutionary computation.
Meanwhile, a competition on "Large-scale Multiobjective Optimization for Status Assessment of Measuring Equipment" was also hosted to bridge the gap between electrical measurements and intelligent optimization via evolutionary computation.
We are chairing a Special Session of Advances in Condition Monitoring, Diagnosis, and Prognostics for Power Equipment on Electronics.
